Refund Policy

No retention call. No form maze. This is how refunds work for MowNext subscriptions and SMS overages.

MowNext is used as the placeholder legal entity until formation is complete. Replace this language with the final legal name and mailing address before public launch.

1. Scope

This Refund Policy applies to subscription fees and SMS overage fees charged by MowNext. MowNext is used as a placeholder legal entity until the company is formed.

This policy does not control refunds between lawn care operators and their own customers. If a homeowner paid an operator for lawn care work through a MowNext invoice, that refund decision belongs to the operator.

2. Free trial

The 14-day trial does not require a card. If you do not add a payment method before the trial ends, we do not charge you. Your account may move to the Free plan and paid features may turn off.

3. First 30 days

Solo, Crew, and Crew+ subscriptions include a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not happy in the first 30 days after your first paid charge, email us and we will refund the subscription fee for that first paid period.

You do not need to take a retention call. If you want to tell us what went wrong, we will read it. If not, that is fine too.

4. After 30 days

After the first 30 days, we refund the unused portion of the current billing period on request. For monthly plans, that means the remaining unused days in the month. For annual plans, see the next section.

Cancellation stops future renewal charges. A refund request is separate from cancellation, so email us if you want both.

5. Annual plans

Annual plans are refundable on a prorated basis. If you cancel mid-year and request a refund, we refund the unused portion of the annual subscription term.

Example: if you paid for 12 months and used 4 months, the refund is based on the 8 unused months, subject to the exceptions below.

6. SMS overages

SMS overages are not refundable. Once a message segment is sent, telecom provider and carrier costs have already been incurred.

If you believe SMS overage billing is wrong because of a system error, contact us and we will review the account logs.

7. Payments from your customers

If your customer pays an invoice through MowNext, the payment is processed through Stripe Connect for your business. You decide whether to refund your customer for lawn care work, missed service, duplicate payment, tip mistakes, or disputed charges.

MowNext may provide tools or Stripe links to help you issue a refund, but we do not decide service refunds for your customers unless required by law, Stripe, a card network, or a valid legal process.

Payment processor fees, chargeback fees, and bank rules may affect how much is returned on a customer payment refund. Check Stripe for the exact handling.

8. How to request a refund

Email support@mownext.com from the account owner email and include:

  • Your business name.
  • The account email.
  • Whether you want to cancel, refund, or both.
  • Anything you want us to know about why you are leaving.

Approved refunds are sent back to the original payment method when possible. Bank and card network timing varies, but refunds commonly take 5 to 10 business days to appear after they are issued.

9. Exceptions

We may deny or reduce a refund if:

  • The charge is for SMS overage that was actually used.
  • The account was suspended or terminated for spam, fraud, abuse, illegal activity, or serious Terms violations.
  • The refund request is for a customer payment controlled by an operator, not a MowNext subscription fee.
  • The request duplicates a refund, chargeback, credit, or bank reversal already in progress.
  • We are required to keep funds or records because of law, Stripe, a card network, or a valid legal request.
